Displays Technicians

J&M Displays, Inc. is always in need of people to fire shows during the 4th of July week.  If you are interested in shooting fireworks displays for J&M Displays, Inc. during the July 4th week, or any time of year, please contact us at 1-800-648-3890 for more information.  J&M Displays will provide free hand-fire and electronic-fire training for anyone interested. 

In order to become a display technician for J&M Displays a prospective employee must be 18 years of age, and will need to fill out an application for employment along with state and federal income tax withholding forms.  The applicant would also need to apply for and receive an Employee Possessor Letter of Clearance from the U.S. Department of Justice:  Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  Upon receipt of the Letter of Clearance the employee must complete the J&M Displays training course and apprentice on three shows in order to be eligible to be a Lead Operator.

Lead Display Operator (Technician)

In order to become a Lead Display Operator for a display crew, a technician must complete all forms to become a Display Technician and serve as a crewmember for at least three separate displays.  Many states also require that the Lead Operator be at least 21 years of age.  It is also highly recommended that a Lead Operator go through the process of becoming a J&M Driver.  By having the ability to legally transport the fireworks to the display site themselves, the operator can ensure the opportunity to fire more displays. 

J&M Driver

J&M Displays is not currently hiring full time drivers.  To become a part time driver for J&M it is required that the applicant be at least 21 years of age, receive a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Letter of Clearance, Commercial Drivers License with the Hazmat endorsement, driver medical card is required when transporting hazardous materials, go on the J&M Displays random drug and alcohol screening, and attend a J&M Displays Driver Training.  If the driver is interested in using a personal vehicle to transport fireworks it must first pass a Commercial Vehicle Inspection by a Department of Transportation approved facility.  These expenses are all reimbursable.  To find out more about becoming a driver for J&M Displays, Inc., including reimbursement and compensation, please contact Cheryl Jones at J&M Displays 1-800-648-3890 ext. 304.

Salesperson

J&M Displays, Inc. is currently hiring salespeople in many regions of the United States.  Salespeople are paid commission based on their sales dollars.  It is highly recommended that a salesperson also become a Lead Display Operator, J&M Driver, and have access to an approved vehicle for commercial transport of hazardous materials.  Persons interested in becoming J&M salespeople must first contact J&M Displays, Inc. to find our salesperson needs in their area.
